Fergus’s Story
Fergus came to us because his young owners were splitting up and neither of
them felt they could give Fergus the time and care he deserved.
We offer a non judgemental and compassionate approach to re-homing Golden Retrievers when owners feel that they can no longer keep their dog.
Dogs are re-homed for many reasons, relationship breakups, bereavement, behavioural problems and change of circumstances and we go to great lengths to find loving and responsible new homes. We understand what a difficult decision it can be to decide to re-home your golden but we are patient, kind and understanding and we will help you work out the best plan for your dog. We try to make the process as painless as possible, matching them to the right owner – with the dog going straight to their new home rather than a stay in kennels.
We have many wonderful, experienced families looking to rescue a golden retriever and we assess all of these homes carefully too.
If you are thinking of re-homing your Golden Retriever and would like to talk to us about it please call our rescue co-ordinator Helen Hanrahan on 07850 397575.
If you are looking to rescue a golden retriever that needs a new home we would love to discuss this with you as we are always looking for committed, loving homes. However, please understand that rescue dogs often come with their own little ‘peculiarities’ and the more open you can be about taking on a dog with a few health or behavioural issues, the more likely you are to get a rescue dog through us.
Please complete our online form giving as much detail as possible and we will be in touch.
