Thankyou for all of your emails enquiring about Luffy. It is heartwarming when you work in rescue to see how many kind hearted people there are out there 🥰
We are looking for an experienced home for this lovely 8 month old boy who through no fault of his own finds himself needing a new home.
Luffy’s owner couldn’t cope with a lively puppy as she was suffering from anxiety herself and we rehomed him to a new family. Sadly their autistic daughter found him too much. So poor Luffy moved again but this time the resident dog didn’t accept him. We are determined now to get this right for this lovely boy.
Luffy is a lovely boy who has so much to give. He’s extremely well trained, walks beautifully on the lead and his recall is excellent. He knows numerous commands. He loves other dogs and people and is a very normal 8 month old puppy.
Luffy needs a home without another dog or young children as he is rather full on and prone to humping when he gets over stimulated. He quickly forms a very strong attachment to the woman of the household but this can turn into separation anxiety and he doesn’t like to be left so he needs a home where you are home all day until he feels secure. He finds it hard to settle but in the right calm environment we are sure he will relax. He is pretty stressed at the moment and needs a calm, patient home that will give him the time to decompress and start just enjoying being a puppy again.
If you feel you could give Luffy the home he deserves please email Helen Hanrahan (rescue coordinator SWGRC) with a little bit of information about why you feel you would give him the right home. Please add your telephone no so I can contact you.
Thankyou
