The South Western Golden Retriever Club today held its 52nd Novice Breed Stake at Knowle Farm, Bowerchalke by very kind permission of the Mann family. Their generosity as always was much appreciated. The weather was dry and overcast. We had a full card of 12 dogs. Thank you to our judges Di Stevens, Julia Smith, Jane Manley and Ken Green. Thank you also to the great team of guns, stewards, Sue Weeden and Judy Venables, beaters, pickers up, and bird markers. We started with a duck drive followed by a partridge drive and ending with a walked up drive of partridge and two hare.
